We have had a wonderful three days in the city of lights. Laura is fantasically in love with Paris and everything within its bounds. The day we arrived, we ate dinner at a small cafe on the square by our hotel, then rode the subway down to the Eiffel Tower and had an ice cream underneath it while walking through the adjacent park. The next day, we had a french baguette sandwich and shopped at the local open air market, where we purchased some spanish sheep's milk cheese and cured ham, which tasted something like Prosciutto. After shopping for a bit, we ran off to see Cemeterie Pere Lachaise. This wondeful necropolis, situated on a hill, was full of masoleums and crypts of every sort, and housed the famous and finest of paris, including Fredrick Chopin, Bellini, and our own Jim Morrison. Next we hopped over to the Siene and walked along its beautiful banks for a bit, stopping at Notre Dame cathedral. After exploring the treasury and the cathedral, we then attended part of a mass. As a grand finale to our tour de UK, we spent a day at Stonehenge and in Salisbury, the little town that serves as its port, if you will. We hit the jackpot in Salisbury, as it was market day and all the locals were out selling home and handmade specialties (in addition to all the tourist trinkets!) We bought a loaf of some fresh bread and a bit of cheese before catching our bus out to see Stonehenge. Although Stonehenge is a place we have seen many pictures of, nothing can replace the in person feeling you get when standing before this gigantic man made wonder. The beauty of the English countryside only adds to its splendor as the slight breeze, sunshine and chirping birds almost transport you to a place centuries ago. We were also able to mill around some ruins of a local ancient castle, as well as pop into the amazing Salisbury Cathedrial. Our time in the UK was fantab, but we are ready to move onto more exotic places, where English is not the first language spoken. Laura, in front

London: A Travelers Haven

Well, we have made it to London and are having the time of our lives! This city mixes the perfect blend of culture, history and tourists! According to calculations, we walk about 5 miles a day~ Almost enough to see all of the city! We have found the food to be a bit bland, causing Laura to have a fit of home sickness, but luckily we found a pub close to the British Museum where we ordered burgers and beers for a few pounds, and that seemed to do the trick, fueling us to move onward in our journey as vagabonds! We stopped by Harrod's, the famous London department store only to discover that Dior gowns were not in our budget, so we decided to take a night sight seeing bus, which turned out to be a great idea as it enabled us to cover virtually every square mile of the city that we couldn't reach on foot. Our hostel is quite fun, and we have an amazing view of Big Ben and the Eye of London (see below for pic!) While we have been enjoying ourselves, according to our itinerary we h
